Some people may describe this book as being a 'hand-led' format where the writer may being 'dumbing it down' too much, but I find it a lot easier on the mind to read compared to most science texts I have encountered as a college student. Surprise Surprise!

I bought this book to learn how to begin the journey of mentoring my daughter. What happened next was....A Big Surprise.

From the first word to the last I didn't budge from my kindle. Wife and kids coming and going from the room, but I just kept reading. I think it was the marathon story that locked me in ( I'm running my first in Houston Jan. 2017 at age 50) or perhaps the many suggestions of further reading material which are many of the books I read during early adulthood.

The writing level skews towards kids, but that turns out to be a treat as I caught myself taken back to youthful passions and transgressions.

All in all, I'm so thankful to have found this book...AND, am hopeful my daughter finds some of what I did within the digital pages!

I read this book back in military school in 2012, and it's pretty good! Very motivational, very good read. I give THE BOOK ITSELF 5 stars, but the price and the condition of the book bring it down to 4. It's kind of worn, but otherwise OK. Also, the price could've been lower for the quality.

It is an easy read for those who would otherwise shy away from it. It is interesting because it opens the heart of the inmate being mentored revealing it to the reader - both the good and the bad. There is a wonderful twist that few would think about when considering being a mentor.
