Yogesh Kasat

Yogesh Kasat is a cofounder of Real Dynamics, which is one of the first Microsoft Dynamics AX IV&Vs (Independent Verification and Validation services provider). The goal of Real Dynamics is to help businesses and their internal IT teams to take their Dynamics AX implementation to the next level with independent and unbiased recommendations. Yogesh has led a number of large Dynamics AX implementations and turned them into success stories. He has a unique blend of knowledge of financial and supply chain modules, technical architecture, and business process optimization, and he has held project management, leadership, and solution architect roles. Yogesh is one of the founding partners of Real Dynamics―an organization focused on providing independent guidance and oversight of Dynamics AX implementations, post-implementation reviews, and help to customers in defining a roadmap for the Dynamics AX platform. He held a leadership role for one of the leading Dynamics AX partners as the vice president of Dynamics AX delivery and oversaw Dynamics AX implementations throughout North America. He was awarded the prestigious Leadership Award twice during his tenure with the company. He has six Dynamics AX certifications, including financials, trade and logistics, and managing Dynamics AX implementation (Sure Step). Yogesh Kasat and JJ Yadav have distilled everything that someone needs to know as they are implementing Dynamics AX into 312 pages, and they cover everything from choosing a partner, to planning the project, from designing the infrastructure to migrating data. There are even sections in there on reporting and customizing Dynamics AX.

An impressive collection of short stories from Makhosazana Xaba. I first encountered Xaba as a poet, and that control of language comes through in these stories.

As with any collection there were some that I liked more than others, but the best were beautiful, lingering in my mind long after I finished reading.

Chris Langley graduated from Kean College of New Jersey in 1996 with a Bachelor�s Degree in Industrial Engineering Technology. He completed his Master�s studies in 2003 at Stevens Institute. He has over 30 years of experience in all facets of industrial utilities including 18 years of hands-on experience with ammonia systems. Mr. Langley has also taught HVAC, stationary engineering and refrigeration engineering in two of New Jersey�s vocational-technical schools for 18 years as of this writing. He holds a New Jersey double gold engineer�s license.

Andrew Sacks has more than 20 years of experience in the boiler, power plant, and refrigeration industry. This includes training and instruction of boiler and power plant personnel. Additionally, he has over 10 years experience as an instructor of Stationary Engineering. Mr. Sacks holds a New Jersey Gold Seal Stationary Engineer's License.

This is a well-studied but easy-to-read book on the role of nuclear power in climate change mitigation. The reader will be introduced to the facts showing that many NGOs are surprisingly lobbying heavily against nuclear but not so much against fossil fuels while they communicate that the most challenging issue to the global community is the climate change. The reader will get familiarized to the health risks of nuclear power stations and irradiation. In this book those risks are evaluated not in vacuum as sometimes is the case but against the drawbacks of other options. Energy production is a field in which there are no perfect choices since the size of the fossil fuel industry has grown that great. The reader will be introduced in the risks of nuclear proliferation and might have a surprise on that issue. Are there more safe nuclear reactor options available than the current uranium ones? This subject is covered also.

Increasing energy consumption is vital to the development of the developing countries. From where that energy must come? The ultimate message of the book is that the climate challenge is so huge that no-fossil energy technologies cannot be ruled out a priori. We will need all of them to replace fossil fuels. When someone writes a book on a complicated issues there are of course mistakes and errors.The original Finnish edition of this timely book was written so that readers were gathered to point errors in the content and to bring those into the knowledge of the writers via social media. This was a demonstration of both the scientific attitudes of the writers and the power of social media as a way to improve content of written texts. Those few mistakes and errors found in the first Finnish version are corrected in this updated English edition.

Climate Gamble Climate Gamble takes on the challenge of tackling some of the most controversial issues of the energy policy debate. The outset of the book is quite clear – according to virtually every international study we will have no chance in reaching our climate commitments without the aid of nuclear power. Like it or not, this is a fact according to the studies cited in the book. The authors then go on to painstaking depths in busting various myths for example regarding the dangers of nuclear power.

The book is very easy to read and works as an excellent introductory material to anyone who wants to read balanced views about this source of energy. One doesn’t have to like nuclear power but one can’t either ignore its various benefits over most of the other conventional energy sources.
This book should be compulsory reading for anyone who wants to have an informed view of the debate regarding climate change mitigation and energy.

This short, 100-page, book packs a punch. The answer to the question in the subtitle is "Yes"; wittingly or unwittingly, environmentalists, mostly as the result of fear built on lack of information, are hindering their own goals with regard to global climate change by opposing nuclear. The coming fourth generation of nuclear will provide clean, safe, abundant and affordable energy to the world, but only if environmentalists get behind it instead of opposing it. Even today, existing nuclear in the US provides some 60+ percent of clean, CO2-free energy. We need more, not less.

About the Author

Andrew Ashworth is Vinerian Professor of English Law in the University of Oxford, a member of the Centre for Criminology and a Fellow of All Souls College. Until 2010 he was chair of the Sentencing Advisory Panel for England and Wales. He is co-directing (with Professor Lucia Zedner) a three-year study of Preventive Justice, generously funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

Lucia Zedner is Professor of Criminal Justice in the Faculty of Law and a member of the Centre for Criminology at the University of Oxford. She is currently the General Editor of the Oxford University Press monograph series Clarendon Studies in Criminology. With Andrew Ashworth, Professor Zedner is currently co-directing a three-year study of Preventive Justice generously funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. She is also Conjoint Professor, Faculty of Law, University of New South Wales, Sydney, where she is a regular visitor.

Patrick Tomlin is Lecturer in Political Theory at the University of Reading. Prior to taking up this post in January 2012, he was a postdoctoral researcher on the Arts & Humanities Research Council-funded Preventive Justice project at the University of Oxford, and a Junior Research Fellow at Corpus Christi College, Oxford.

I can't wait for the next one just wish they were a bit longer they seem to need some filler to really draw you into the story add in a place where the go to get school supplies now that she is an older student and I am looking toward the to games talked about in the star of this book

This series continues to be interesting, although I am giving this one one less star than the others. I wish Professor Abbacus would have stayed on, and the lonely house plotline was interesting but not quite as exciting as the others.
