Very worth the read if you love true Alchemy

For the true lover of the Art of Alchemy highly recomended See what true adepts thought to be important in the 1500 s . I found it truly inlightning. The translation is worth every penny thanks . Have seen other translations but this one is better fewer mistakes. Only one important thing was left out the symbles that were in the original are missing big mistake to leave them out. would have been nive to have more of the origional pics

My oldest son is an avid hiker and bought this book a while ago. My youngest son just transitioned from cub scouts to boy scouts and was getting ready to go on his first camping trip with his troop. He kept reading this book and decided he wanted his own copy. It was only 2 days until his trip but I ordered it with Prime shipping in hopes that it would arrive in time for me to surprise him. I could tell he was a bit nervous about his trip. A half an hour before he had to leave, the book arrived! He was so excited and couldn't wait to show his fellow pack members. I haven't read the book but both of my sons say it has a lot of useful information in it. I paid full price for this book and do not have a relationship with the seller. I bought this solely for personal use.

Inspiration and comfort

Joyce Meyer has a down to earth style. This book is that, and more. It is a collection of inspirational and thoughtful devotions, to start your day off right. We could all use a friendly/intelligent word in the morning, couldn't we? I find, as with all her other books, and resources, that Joyce doesn't disappoint with this one.

This was a well written and organized, faithful representation of an inspirational musician. Using the format of interviews, quotes, and annecdotes, Jake's niece managed to capture the wonderful essence of this great jazz drummer. I couldn't put it down.

Having known Jake Hanna since 1963, when he was powering Woody Herman's band, it was a pleasure to read this collection of anecdotes from, and about this purveyor of swing. He was one of the "good guys." If you enjoy jazz, you'll enjoy this book.

A book you can actually put into action

I feel like 99% of self-help books, be it self-help in work, love, friendships, what have you, are useless. They always have fluff chapters of 'act motivated and be motivated!' or 'think like a winner!' and various platitudes of that nature. You wind up finishing the book and realizing you read nothing but pseudo-motivational dribble that will wind up having zero impact on whatever you were looking to improve upon.

Enter 'SPIN Selling' - this book delivers where all of those other books have failed. In this book is a solid layout of how you should structure your sales calls, and not only that, but data to back up their claims and examples to on how to lead. Read this book, take notes, and I guarantee if you weren't already aware of how to sell in this style, your selling WILL improve.

I'm a novice to sales. Last year when I was interviewing for a sales position I was asked to put together a sales presentation and to sell a product. I was given the product brochure and 1 day to come up with something. Using 'SPIN Selling' as my guide, I put together a list of ideas and pitched them in my presentation. My interviewer was blown away. After I got the job, my manager told me he had never had someone deliver such a good presentation - everyone always focuses on selling the product, but they never try and sell the customer. Taking a note from this book, I asked the questions I needed to ask, developed them into problems for the buyer, and then walked them through the solution with their own words. It was a total and complete win.

I was tempted to give this book 4 stars because it really does falter in a few areas. For one, some of the research is tenuous at best -

This book: It's AMAZING. It's BRILLIANT. It's HILARIOUS.

"High school is a test you are given before you are taught the answers. High school is a pottery class for blind club-fisted epileptics."

That's not just good writing, it's goddamn wisdom into the human soul. Her writing has the echoes of the best parts of Terry Pratchett.

This story has it all: memorable characters, insight into the human condition, an intriguing plot, and flying goddman sharks. Plus, it has unicorns. UNICORNS.

Delightful alternate-Earth surrealism

In a savvy, comic narrative cadence, Williams weaves futuristic cartoon ickiness with the sort of existential insights only Doomsday tends to afford us fragile, faux- philanthropic human sorts.

I came for the vivid, meta-dystopian marketingscape shrouding its tenured, triangulating precogs; stayed for the charming, bent-sanity of its array of semi-human characters.

I only tend to venture from the non-fiction section for an exemplary specimen of the gift of a noggin vacation, and 'E Galactic Mu' is certainly just that: I laughed, I winced, and I highlighted many a terse and pensive bit of commentary on our role in this Multiverse, as we attempt to ooze toward a semblance of sorting it out.

Reading E Galactic Mu is like listening to an obscure band in a foreign language...you may not understand the words but the melodic rhythm sings in your heart and makes lovely sense. Sunday creates a world that is full of vivid characters and wild adventures. My brain soared to unknown destinations while reading this book and I enjoyed the depth of life's contemplations.
