An Intellegent Melding of the Secular and the Mystic

As an atheist I am often put off by writers who describe a new age, fanstasy world where we just don't go away. Dr. Kroth offers an intelligent, anecdotal review of literature and reseach that's refreshing and thought provoking. Drawing from a deep knowledge base of Jungian pschology this book offers some further understanding of possibilities without any angels dancing on the heads of pins. Our thoughts are a complex matrix of energy that make up our essential self and one would think that without a functioning biogenerated platform to operate from that matrix would simply evaporate into non existence. But what if that matrix or field of energy is strong enough to be actualized to the point of some kind of independent idenity, the consciousness of self like a Kirlian leaf in the wind? It would take a lot to convince me but Dr. Kroth's ideas open an entirely new hallway of doors.
